HOTEL REVIEW: Halcyon House
When you google 'instagramable hotel' you're sure to find Halcyon House on the list! We have been dying to stay there for so long and when a dear friend has her big birthday celebration we were spoilt beyond belief and had the chance to finally spend a few nights there. And, WOW.
Located on Cabarita Beach, Halcyon House is a true gem. With rooms designed by the very talented Anna Spiro and an award-winning restaurant Paper Daisy - no detail has been missed.
Upon arrival, there was a delicious welcome fruit platter with a personalised note waiting for us in the room.
Oh... the room. Each room has a balcony or courtyard with a view of the pool. The bed and pillow selection are divine, there's mini bar filled with boutique food and beverages and of course a coffee machine - did we mention they are all included?
Oh and the bathroom! Just LOOK AT THIS bathroom! If it doesn't scream 'bathroom selfie' we're not sure what does.
Breakfast can be ordered and served in your room or at the restaurant. Once again, this is all included in the room rate and it's not just your standard bacon and eggs. The menu is long, varied and absolutely delicious.
When we returned to our room after dinner, what was waiting for us? Of course, it was some delicious locally sourced chocolates and another note. Seriously - this place did not put a foot wrong.
Unfortunately, we didn't get to test out the Halcyon Day Spa, but we have heard amazing things and means we have yet another excuse to go back.
Even if you're not a beach lover, Halcyon Hotel is so beautiful there is really no need to leave. Just hang by the pool, enjoy some delicious cocktails and food, take a nap in your room with a sea breeze or spoil yourself in the day spa. A weekend getaway to Halcyon House is a must!
