Oprah named them as one of her favourite things, her products are stocked all over the world and she's a Mum of two gorgeous girls. Simone Taylor - founder of Louvelle really is a wonder woman! We chatted to her to find out her secret tips and tricks when travelling.
You recently travelled to Palm Springs to shoot your latest collection, was it a good as everyone says it is?
Yes it is truly unique - the climate, the landscape and the history make it very special.
Hailing from Brisvegas, if someone had only 24hrs to spend in Brisbane what would you tell them to do?
I would stay at the new Calile Hotel, go for a morning walk along the river - starting in New Farm on the floating river walk which takes you into the city and botanic gardens. Lunch at Stokehouse at Southbank has a great view of the city and excellent food and service. An afternoon swim at The Calile (after all we do have the best weather in Sunny Queensland!) For shopping, I would hit James Street for the afternoon, that’s where all the best shops are!
Describe your fashion travel style...
Depends on my mood and the occasion- I am quite casual in the day as that’s a necessity with children!
For summer travel I love the carefree boho ease of Zimmerman playsuit and flat Loeffler Randall sandals and for winter trips, a bit of a smarter look with a classic Smythe blazer, equipment silk shirt and Rag & bone jeans and boots.
You've been granted a free weekend off - where are you going to and why?
A getaway to Halcyon House sounds like bliss, the beautiful food at Paper Daisy, luxurious decor and relaxing pool and only a 1.5 hr drive away.
Aside from the basics (passport, camera, money) what three items are always packed in your luggage when you travel?
A good book - I’m currently reading The Goldfinch my Donna Tartt.
A Louvelle eye mask and ear plugs!
My bose noise cancelling earphones
Aisle, middle or window seat?
Book, movie marathon or sleep on a long-haul flight?
Arrive 3 hours in advance or are you running through the airport?
Advance - I’m a planner!
Do you roll, fold or stuff?
Bucket list destination?
The Maldives or Tahiti
