If you google 'IT hotel of 2019' you will probably find The Calile in your search results. Opening in late 2018 on James St, Brisbane it's more Palm Springs than Brisvegas.
Upon arrival, it is clear that no expense was spared with the design and every detail was considered - creating an instagramers dream. The folded pink marble bar in the Lobby Bar is definitely one to feature on your feed!
We stayed in a standard room, and it was anything but. A king size bed, lounge, dining table and huge bathroom. Unlike many hotel rooms, you can actually open a suitcase or four in this room. Another gorgeous feature which you don't find in any inner city hotels are the open air hallways, filled with fresh breezes and natural light.
Our room was ready for us early which is always a bonus. But before that, we decided to have a quick coffee in the lobby bar with that GORGEOUS pink marble. This bar was pumping all - night - long, as were the cocktails. And, you can also have breakfast there too.
Speaking of food, if you can you MUST have lunch at in-house restaurant Hellenika. We have been a fan of the original Hellenika on the Gold Coast so we were excited to try this new experience and we were not disappointed. Book a Cabana by the pool or sit inside for finer dining - but with a casual feel.
One of our favourite things are the filtered chilled water stations on each floor. You have your own personal carafe and glasses in your room so forget those mini plastic bottles you find in most hotels - here you can enjoy unlimited fresh water...which you need in the Queensland heat.
The pool at The Calile is truly an influencers dream. The gorgeous green and cream palette will have you wanting to redesign the colours in your own house. There are day beds and cabanas - you really do feel like you're at a hip LA rooftop.
Oh and then there's the Day Spa - which we didn't get to try but have only heard fantastic things. If you're wanting to work out, you'll also find a state of the art gym.
Honestly, The Calile is such a refreshing new addition to Brisbane and sets the benchmark for luxury and boutique hotels. It's perfect for a staycation, weekend getaway or a girls trip. We highly suggest booking sooner rather than later.
In the meantime... check out their Instagram here at @thecalilehotel and prepare to drool!
